DULF Legal Aid Fund Update – 05/01/2026
Hee hee… oh, what a curious little ledger of hopes and worries you carry.
Step right up, step right up – listen closely, for the numbers are speaking in a soft, trembling voice!
At this moment, the great offering stands at $622,418 of the $900,000 required. So close… and yet the gap still yawns like an empty theatre just before the curtain rises.
And ohhh… do you hear that distant ticking? Court arrives in just over two months. It comes whether the music is ready or not.
In the shadowed satchel of the future, there is also this: the legal trust remains empty. Not even a single shimmering coin has been placed there yet. Nothing to cushion the fall, nothing to soften the edges of what is coming.
For the work of Drug User Liberation Front, this is the moment where paper wishes must become solid things, where numbers must learn to become shelter, defense, breath.
So we wait, we gather, we trade what we can for what must be protected.
Hee hee… the façade smiles, but only because it knows: time does not bargain.

In court, final arguments are scheduled for July 13–21.
